Bookkeeping
Good books make everything else cheaper. When the bank feeds are reconciled and the invoices and bills are where they should be, your BAS is quick, your tax return is quick, and you know where the business stands without waiting for year end. We keep the books for small businesses in Bondi Junction and across Sydney, or check the ones you keep yourself.
We do the books
You do the books, we check
Catching up
What we do
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, so every transaction is matched and coded
- Sales invoices and debtors – recording what you have invoiced and what is still owed to you
- Bills and creditors – entering supplier bills, so you can see what is due and when
- GST coding that is right the first time, so the BAS is a review rather than a rebuild
- Payroll processing, Single Touch Payroll and super – see payroll
- Monthly or quarterly reports: profit and loss, balance sheet and the amounts owed to and by the business
- Year-end handover to your tax return, with the books already in order – see tax returns
Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks
We are a Xero Gold Partner, and we also work with MYOB and QuickBooks. If you are not on accounting software yet, or the file you have has grown messy, we can set it up properly – chart of accounts, bank feeds, GST settings, invoice templates – and move you across from another system.

What it costs
Bookkeeping and administrative work is charged at $120 an hour plus GST. For established businesses with a regular cycle we can agree a fixed periodic fee instead, so you know the cost in advance. Catch-up work is quoted once we have seen the file. Our other fees are on the price list.
Getting started
- Tell us about the business – what it does, how many transactions a month, which software, and how far behind (if at all) the books are.
- We look at the file and suggest a cycle and a fee.
- We set up access to your accounting software and bank feeds – no passwords by email.
- We start the cycle and send you the reports on the schedule we agreed.
Questions people ask
Do I need a bookkeeper or an accountant?
Usually both, for different jobs. The bookkeeping keeps the day-to-day records accurate; the accountant uses them for your BAS, tax return and advice. We do both, so nothing is lost between them.
Which accounting software do you work with?
Xero – we are a Xero Gold Partner – and also MYOB and QuickBooks. We can set up a new file or move you from one system to another.
My books are months behind. Can you help?
Yes. We bring them up to date, lodge anything overdue and then keep them current. Catch-up work is quoted once we have seen the file.
How much does bookkeeping cost?
$120 an hour plus GST, or a fixed periodic fee for established businesses with a regular cycle.
Do I need to come to your office?
No. The work is done in your cloud accounting file, so we can keep the books for businesses anywhere. You are welcome to visit us in Bondi Junction.
